Located at the cross roads and centre of campus this project will become the heart and focus of life on the new wollongong Innovation campus. Conceived as a poetic response to the powerful natural landscape between coastline and escarpment, the building is intended to be a sculptural and dynamic form that embodies the dynamic spirit of innovation and progression, a point of departure and fresh beginning for the university.

We created an emerging and shifting building from which, in plan, changes in its east/west alignment twice as it moves towards the coastline. This strategy creates important public spaces around the building and was generated from urban design thinking.
