This site rests in a valley between two south running ridges and offers views out to the Whitesundays and back to the mountains.

To allow significant opportunities for landscaping and water elements a fairly high density form was adopted for the main building. An eight storey curved form evolved which responded to both the views out to the whitsunday's, views back to the mountains and views from either end to the dramatic ridge formations.
